COACHCHUCK

Chuck Higgins is a PGA Member of over 25 years, currently serving in the role of National League Manager for the Coaching and Player Development Department of the PGA of America. He was introduced to the game as a caddy at Annandale Golf Club in Pasadena, California, which quickly developed into a passion for all things golf. He graduated from U.C. Davis where he played on the golf team, twice earning All-America honors, and was inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame in 2006. He spent 5 years as a volunteer at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, working with the therapeutic recreation department to lead a golf program for the inpatient kids which led to Higgins being honored as the Volunteer of the Year in 2009. Chuck lives in University Park with his wife Jenna and sons Luke, Harrison, and Jackson.

PASSION

Coach Chuck has a strong passion to help kids fall in love with the game of golf.

EXPERIENCE

Before Chuck became a PGA Member, he played at U.C. Davis and was a two time NCAA Division II All-American. Chuck was inducted to the U.C. Davis Hall of Fame in 2006.

Chuck Higgins was Awarded the PGA Jr. League Game Changer Award in 2019. 

BACKGROUND

Chuck grew up in Pasadena, CA. He moved to Texas in 1990 to own and operate Battle Lake Golf Course which his family had purchased. In 2013, Chuck started the Pythons to introduce his oldest son to golf. The tradition continues as his twin boys are now Pythons.

 

FUN FACT

When Chuck was a Senior in High School, he caddied for Arnold Palmer!

Chuck has accomplished the PGA Jr. League Experience Trifecta: PGA Jr. League Parent, PGA Jr. League Captain, and PGA of America Headquarters Staff Member.
